O2Micro Announces $2.3 Million Award in BiTEK Case

GEORGE TOWN, Grand Cayman, Aug. 16 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- O2Micro(R) International Limited (Nasdaq: OIIM; SEHK: 0457), a leading supplier of innovative power management, and security components and systems, announced that the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas awarded O2Micro attorneys' fees of $2,159,139.26 and costs in the amount of $109,263.29 against defendants Beyond Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., FSP Technology, SPI Electronic Co., Ltd., FSP Group and Lien Chang Electronic Enterprise Co., Ltd. In the Memorandum Opinion and Order dated August 13, 2007, the District Court also denied a renewed motion for judgment as a matter of law and motion for new trial by defendants, and denied a motion to stay the permanent injunction currently in effect against the defendants. The defendants have appealed the case to the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
