World's Largest Palm Oil Producer, Golden Hope, Joins Hart's Global Biofuels Center
June 25, 2007

    HOUSTON, June 25 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Hart Energy
Consulting is pleased to announce that Golden Hope has
become the first Malaysian company to join the Global
Biofuels Center (GBC).

As a member of GBC, Golden Hope will benefit from
regular updates on all aspects of the global biofuels
market: production capacity and facility developments,
technology and quality developments, including
second-generation biofuels, fiscal policy and incentives,
and other environmental issues.

The focus on renewables is becoming stronger in the
Asian Pacific region, and new fuels are being developed
from local feedstocks such as palm oil, coconut, and
others. The New Zealand government also announced its
membership in GBC recently, joining the Australian
Department of Environment & Water Resources, Hong Kong
Environmental Protection Department, and Korean Institute
of Petroleum Quality.

"We are honored that Golden Hope has joined the
Global Biofuels Center network." says Tammy Klein,
executive director of the GBC. "Golden Hope's
membership -- like that of PetroChina, Sinopec, Japan
Energy Corporation, Idemitsu Kosan, SK Corporation and PTT
Thailand within the last year -- demonstrates how rapidly
this part of the world is evolving. Japan's Nippon Oil,
Toyota, Honda and Nissan were inaugural members. What many
of the Asian countries share is the desire for energy
security and economic and social development as well as to
reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve the
environment. They see the development and implementation
of biofuels programs in their respective countries as a way
to achieve these and other policy objectives."

Recently GBC worked with the EU Commission and CEN to
organize an International Conference on Biofuels Standards
to address whether an international standard is feasible
and wanted by major stakeholders. The event was launched
jointly with the U.S. and Brazilian Missions to the EU, and
was attended by 250 international participants.

Other GBC speaking engagements include the Symposium on
Biofuels in Washington DC on June 27-29, the Malaysia Palm
Oil Board conference on July 5th, and an upcoming OPEC
event in Egypt on November 7th. GBC will also organize a
biofuels panel at the World Refining and Fuels Conference
-- Asia in Beijing, at the Hotel Kunlun from November 6-8.

"There is a huge worldwide interest in biofuels at
the moment but it is very difficult for investors and key
players to get an unbiased, comprehensive analysis on
topics such as current and future production capacities by
country, public policy developments, local tax incentives
etc ... " Klein says, noting that GBC has just
gathered, analyzed and compiled such information into its
new Global Ethanol & Biodiesel Outlook.
